Hotel & price list: Podium works only with hotels where has contracted allotment.
Categories & hotels’ positions: our info are following those we receive from each hotel. These info are ruled by the several EU Countries. Positions are defined by: ‘Very central’ means that you can reach the city center walking from your hotel location. By ‘Central’ indicated hotel you can walk to public transportation and reach the touristic center. ‘Semi-Central’ are located not farer than twenty, or thirty, minutes by bus from the city center. ‘Outskirt of city … located in …’ will be followed by the indication of the exact location of the hotel. Only for student’s groups we are offering ‘quality hostel’ accommodating eight to ten beds in one big room. In case this accommodation is always properly indicated. Dividing girls and boys in these kind of rooms could request some supplements in case they are only partially full.
Rooming list: this represents an important detail and in case of missing you might face negative effects on the travelling clients.
Free of charge: generally in Europe you’ll get one free of charge every twenty-five paying guests. This means the only the twenty-six will be free of charge. Some agent around the world will need more frequent places free of charge and in these cases our system will recalculate them. Please always specify how many FOC you’ll need. Some hotel will not give any free and also in this case we’ll properly recalculate to follow your needs. Insurance & city taxes have no FOC.
Handling fees: whenever the request will not include hotels Podium will reserve the right to ask for a fee of € one hundred.
Insurance: Podium has the best rates on the European market and has some exclusive warranties. They are normally never included in our offers if not specifically indicated. The responsibility of Podium towards the travelling clients is fully following the European’s rules. We can also make for your clients insurance for medical assistance and baggage, (lost, or theft). Whenever requested these insurances will result from our temporary invoice as on the final invoice. The agent that requested this kind of assistance needs to verify if all requested insurances are correctly included as desired.
Requests & offers: the exact and clear request is making our offer clearer, better completed, more competitive and leads to a better final result. This is a huge advantage for all parties involved. In case our offer did not fully satisfy the clients’ expectations, we’ll manage everything since Podium always works ‘tailor made’.
Particular requests: in case you’ll know specific needs of your clients such as food intolerances or some people with disabilities. It’s important we are getting aware of them before we send our offer. In any case as soon as possible.
Restaurants: in last years Podium has selected a lot of world-ethnic restaurants a part of those typical in Europe. You can endless choose. In all countries we can offer from touristic menu to Michelin restaurant.
Tour Leader and guides: we can provide both since they are different jobs in Europe and almost for all world’s languages. They are always to be paid by the group either for food and accommodation.
Prices: our offers are always in €uro excluding there where specifically indicated. Our offer are clear about what is included and what’s not.
Supplements and handling fees: all supplements, (if any), are clearly indicated in our offer. The museum and monument’s tickets are subject to booking fee.
Entrance tickets: in Europe some entrances, (monuments, or museums), need to be booked only on-line and not on spot. These kind of booking will request a card payment. In this case the booking is not refundable.
VAT and city tax: VAT is included in the known quantity at the moment of our offer. In case it will be increased Podium will need also to change the rates. Podium do not request any VAT reimbursement from any European country. City taxes are not included and you can pay them on spot, or in the final invoice if the supplier allow us to do so.
Long Distance Coach: in Europe driving time and speed are aggressively rules. On board you almost always need to have an alcohol test. Italian cities always recommend to have a look at the city’s website to verify the limitation of traffic.
Cancellation for website infos: we are not accepting them since they are often manipulated and already condemned in several European Countries. The penalties for these kind of cancellations are the same as those of Podium’s ‘General Condition of Sale”.
Deposit: some hotel will ask for a deposit before giving the room’s key. They can start from ten up to one hundred €uro per room. They will be given back if into the room there is no damages, if all extras have been paid and if there are no night noises. ATTENTION: if you see any damage at your arrival into the room, please call instantly the concierge. Podium is not responsible for the managing of deposits.
Journey’s success: we are maniac in organizing our groups and in the proposal of the products. All Agents have a deep interest to cooperate for the best success of trips.
Currencies exchange rates: the rates are those of the day of confirmation of the group.
Pictures, symbols and abbreviations: in this catalogue you’ll find pictures of Podium’s property and some we regularly buy or get under specific authorization for free use.
